Spotlight Report on the Implementation of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities in the Republic of Azerbaijan

What progress has Azerbaijan made in the field of sustainable urban development up to the halfway point of the 2030 Agenda? What obstacles stand in the way of achieving SDG 11? These are the questions addressed in the Spotlight Report on the implementation of SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities”, focusing on critical aspects such as urban infrastructure, availability of safe and affordable housing, protection of the environment, waste management, sustainable transportation, access to healthcare and the creation of green and community spaces. Although progress has been made in recent years, the authors have formulated recommendations for the government, the business sector and civil society to ensure the implementation of SDG 11 by 2030.

The “Spotlight Report on SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities in the Republic of Azerbaijan” is the result of the cooperation between Center for Social and Psychological Studies, GEM ESG and CSR Consulting, and Dekabristen e.V. (Germany), with support from the German Federal Foreign Office.
